What does Progeny mean?
progeny [proj-uh-nee] – 1) a descendant or offspring, as a child, plant, or animal, 2) such descendants or offspring collectively, 3) something that originates or results from something else; outcome; issue.
And it has a double meaning to the founder of Progeny Inc. The idea behind the product lines was inspired by their progeny (new daughter), and Progeny Inc. is their progeny as a result of it!

When is the best time to give someone an apron?
Aprons make great baby shower gifts. They’re gifts that are for both mommy and baby – after all, less time searching for the passy means more time for baby. They can be given to someone while they’re pregnant, when they get home from the hospital, as a Christmas gift, birthday gift – anytime really. The concept came from a Mom who needed to be able to carry more, but the aprons are great for any woman – no matter her lifestyle.

What kind of women wear the aprons?
Women from ALL walks. We have new Moms, first-time Moms, experienced Moms, stay-at-home Moms, working-at-home Moms, Moms of multiples, Grandmom’s, and women who aren’t Moms at all, but just need more pockets! Some of our customers switch out their aprons, like they switch out their shoes – as a flirty and functional accessory! On the job (outside of the home) our aprons are great for nurses, pediatricians, nurses, teachers, waitresses, hair dressers—the list goes on. Our customers are generally women who love to accessorize and don’t want to compromise fit for functionality.

Why does it take 3-6 weeks for Progeny products to ship?
Progeny officially launched in October, so we’re still building our inventory. Our products are made "presh" daily. Some items will ship immediately, but some will have a slight delay - we want to make sure we manage expectations!

What’s the difference between the full, medium and quarter apron?
The full apron has more coverage on the bottom and has a top, it’s often compared to a sundress. The medium apron resembles a skirt – it generally hits around the knee. The quarter apron comes down to about mid-thigh.

How do I know what size I need?
Ours adult aprons come in small, medium, large and extra large and run pretty true to size. You may also reference our size chart.

Do you make gift baskets?
At this time, we don’t make gift baskets. We’re exploring some options and it may be something we offer in the future, so check back with us. We have pulled together some gift ideas on how to put together a custom gift for your reference. And let us know how you’ve given the aprons as gifts.

How long will it take to ship?
Products generally ship within 1-3 business days of placing your order. If a product has a later ship date, due to backorders or low inventory, you will see a notice on the website. Find out more about our shipping policies.

How often do you have new styles and fabrics?
Similar to other apparel products, we will come out with new styles and fabric selections throughout the year.

How do you care for the aprons?
We recommend prewashing any item that will be within close proximity to a new baby. Our care instructions recommend that the aprons and basket linings are washed in cool water and hang to dry. Our aprons are made of 100% cotton, so if they are dried, they will shrink some. If a little shrinkage doesn’t bother you, then feel free to dry.

An apron is a perfect gift for someone with multiples! More babies translates to a need for more supplies and an apron can help keep Mom organized.

Can I order a fabric swatch?
Fabric swatches are not available. We try and demonstrate the fabrics and apron styles as best as possible on the website. If you have questions regarding fabric, please contact us prior to ordering.
